1. Visa Application Form

4. Travel Itinerary

  • You must have medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000, which is valid throughout the Schengen area for the entire duration of your stay.

6. Proof of Accommodation

  • Hotel reservations or a letter of invitation from a host if staying with friends or family.

7. Proof of Financial Means

  • Bank statements from the last 3-6 months, income tax returns, or salary slips as proof that you can financially support yourself during the trip. The required amount varies but typically ranges from €50-100 per day.

8. Proof of Employment

  • If you are employed: A letter from your employer stating your job position, salary, and the purpose and duration of your trip.
  • If you are self-employed: Submit proof of business registration and financial status.

9. Cover Letter

  • A personal cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip, intended duration of stay, and any other relevant information.

10. Visa Fee

  • The Schengen visa fee for Indian citizens is typically €80 (INR equivalent), though fees may vary for children or specific categories.

11. Biometrics

  • Fingerprints and photographs will be collected at the visa application center (VFS Global) unless already provided within the last five years.

12. Other Documents (as applicable)

  • For students: Proof of enrollment and a no-objection certificate from your institution.
  • For minors: A birth certificate, proof of parent(s)’ financial means, and parental consent.

Where to Apply:

  • You must apply at the embassy or consulate of the country that is your primary destination or where you will spend the most time. If your travel involves multiple Schengen countries and the length of stay is equal in each, apply to the country you will enter first.

Make sure to apply at least 3-4 weeks before your planned trip, as processing times can vary.
